- Déjeuner-débat Stanford Business Club sur le thème : "SAGEM, une société française de haute technologie" Avec la participation de Grégoire OLIVIER, Président du Directoire de SAGEM.
- 18/09/2004
- 8th US Alumni Golf Trophy au Golf des Yvelines, Château de la Couharde. Parcours 18 trous, 9 trous, ou initiation, suivi d'un déjeuner au club house, et de la remise des prix.

- Réception du Stanford Club of France à la résidence de l'ambassadeur des Etats-Unis.
C’est la première fois depuis de nombreuses années que l’Ambassadeur US accueille le SCF (seul) dans sa magnifique résidence.

- Déjeuner-débat Stanford Business Club sur le thème : "Innovation et compétitivité dans une entreprise publique". Avec la participation de Anne-Marie IDRAC, Présidente-Directrice Générale de la RATP.

- Visite de l'exposition Montagnes Célestes au Grand Palais. Avec Madame Sylvie Soubra, conférencière au Louvre.

- Conférence sur le thème : Human Sexuality, par le professeur Herant Katchadourian, professor of psychiatry and behavioral sciences, human biology, and education, Stanford University. Conférence suivie d'un cocktail dinatoire.
Le professeur Herant Katchadourian a enseigné Human Sexuality pendant 30 années à l’Université. Son approche pluri-disciplinaire en a fait l’un des professeurs les plus populaires (avec des classes de plus de 1000 élèves!). La conférence qu’il nous a donnée était exceptionnelle.

- Déjeuner-débat Stanford Business Club sur le thème : "Euronext et la concurrence boursière européenne" Avec la participation de Jean-François THEODORE, Président d'EURONEXT.

- Soirée Théâtre en Anglais : Othello by William Shakespeare, co-produit par Cheek by Jowl, Théâtre National du Nord, et Odeon Théâtre de l'Europe. Le spectacle a été suivi d'un dîner dans un restaurant proche.
Othello by Declan Donnellan at Odéon, a unique and special performance, did elicit raves and enthusiasm from the professionals. For people watchers, we had seats just behind Kristin Scott-Thomas and la Baronne Philippine de Rothschild and by fortunate mishaps hit the cocktail with the actors after the performance. The theatre was packed and the stage, which was open on all sides, left no room for errors of interpretation. The performance was perfect and new despite the language and setting.

- Cardinal Hour sur les thèmes : " Le siècle des lumières" ; "le nouveau France-Stanford Center" avec Keith Baker, ancien Dean of Humanities, Directeur du nouveau France-Stanford Center, spécialiste du 18ème siècle français.
The SCF had the pleasure of welcoming Professor Keith Baker on 23 March for a Cardinal Hour on “Condorcet, the revolutionary mathematician” and on the new “France-Stanford Centre”. Professor Baker is a world renowned authority on the French revolution and has written many books on the importance of Condorcet. He is accepted by his French peers as the leading analyst of this interesting man. Professor Baker opened up the “coulisses” of the foundation and formation of the joint France-Stanford Centre which is partially funded by the French government (quai d’Orsay) and aspires to encourage France-Stanford intellectual and cultural links.

- Welcome Cocktail for the France-Stanford Centre. On 19 January 2004, the SCF had the pleasure of welcoming the new France-Stanford Centre Director, Keith Baker and the Dean of Humanities, Sharon Long for the forthcoming France-Stanford Centre. Ambassador and Mrs Howard Leach as well as Leslie and George Hume (Stanford Board of Trustees) joined us in this event. Stanford University received this unique award from French Ambassador Levitte on November 17, 2003.

- Visite de l'exposition Botticelli, en compagnie de Mme DUPEYRAT, conférencière au Louvre. Visite suivie d'un dîner au Café Médicis.
On December 12, the SCF enjoyed a guided visit to the Botticelli exhibit with Mme Dupeyrat. This exhibit was sold out for groups with queues for miles for the brave individuals, but we enjoyed a direct entrance and a dinner at the Café Medicis at the exit of the exhibit. This event was extremely well attended and the convivial dinner was appreciated by all.

- Grande Soirée de Rentrée de France-Amériques, organisée avec les Universités et Business Schools anglaises et nord-américaines, dont : London School of Economics, Harvard, Columbia, MIT, Wharton, San Diego, Cornell, Mc Gill, et leurs homologues françaises en Business, Politique, et Ecoles d’Ingénieurs, dont : HEC, ESSEC, EDHEC, Sciences Po, Conférence Olivaint.
